Our History

2023

The translation of the Open Bible Stories into the Kazakh language and Uzbek language has been completed. We began to pay more attention to publishing in media formats. Video and audio templates for Open Bible Stories were prepared, as well as a series of videos “Heroes and Characters of the Bible”, “Cities and Countries of the Bible”. We continued the development of V-CANA.com – a step-by-step translation platform. Using this platform, several books of the Bible were translated into Russian. The platform’s operation was also tested with a team of programmers, with the team of the Azerbaijani project. In the same year, an intranet version of V-CANA.com was developed to work in conditions where there is no Internet. This version of the platform was tested in offline training with a team of African students and a team of translators into the Karakalpak language.

2022

A translation of the Open Bible Stories was made into the Shugni (Pamir) language. We started testing book packages by assembling a CRASH TEST team. This team tests our tools by creating a translation of the Bible into Russian. We called this translation ROST. The website OpenBibleText.com was created – a site for reading materials for translators. The first version of the step-by-step Bible translation platform was developed and tested. This is the v-cana.com platform

2021

Our team has conducted several trainings for teams of national translators. Using the CANA method, Open Bible Stories were translated into Roma, Tajik, and Ingiloi. The translation of the Bible into Russian-Roma (Roma) began.
We also opened a programming department. unfoldingWord helped us conduct training for programmers. From that moment on, we began to create open source platforms and tools for translating, checking and reading the Bible.
